Dünyanın ilk porselen boncukları Siirt’teki Başur Höyük’te bulundu. Yaklaşık 5 bin yıllık olduğu tespit edilen oyun “satrancın atası” olarak tanımlanıyor.
Siirt merkez 20 kilometre uzaklıktaki Başur Höyük’te yapılan kazı çalışmalarında ele geçirilen buluntuların kaç yıllık olduğu ortaya çıktı. 2012 yılında çıkartılan buluntular karbon testine tabi tutuldu.
ABD tarafından son 10 yılın en önemli arkeolojik çalışmaları arasında gösterilen Başur Höyük’teki kazılar tamamlandı.
Kazı Başkanı Haluk Sağlamtimur, Ilısu Barajı kapsamında 2007 yılında başlatılan ve 2012 yılında sonlandırılan kazılarda Mezopotamya tarihine ilişkin çığır açan verilere ulaşıldığını belirtti.
Ege Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Fakültesi Öğretim Üyesi Doç. Dr. Haluk Sağlamtimur, dünyanın figürlü en eski taş oyun setinin eksik taşları da bulundu. Sağlamtimur, oyun setinde yer alan porselen boncukların karbon testi sonuçlarını açıkladı.
Mezar hediyesi olduğu düşülen taş oyun seti “satrancın atası” olarak tanımlanıyor. Mısır’da benzer oyunların olduğunu dile getiren Sağlamtimur, “Bu oyun setinin maalesef tahtasını bulamadık Tahtasını bulsaydık nasıl oynandığını anlayabilirdik” dedi.
Sağlamtimur, “Bu höyükte iki iskeletin yer aldığı bir mezarda bulduğumuz hayvan figürlerinden oluşan 49 taştan oluşan oyun seti dünyanın figürlü en eski oyun seti olarak Japonya’dan Amerika’ya kadar bütün dünyada büyük ilgi gördü.” dedi.
Bu boncukların 5 bin yıllık bir geçmişe sahip olduğu ve aynı zamanda dünyanın ilk porselen boncukları olduğu ortaya çıktı.
